Privacy policy

Filmlog Analog is designed as a data-minimising offline app. There is no user account, no registration and no server of our own.

Local storage. Everything you enter (cameras, films, rolls, stock, notes and the camera photos you take yourself) is stored solely on your device. The app transmits none of it to us or to third parties on its own; we have no access to it. Data leaves your device only when you trigger it yourself – see “Backup and export” and “Location”.

Camera. The built-in exposure meter (“Light meter”) accesses the device camera in order to measure brightness. The camera image is evaluated live on the device only and is neither stored nor transmitted. Photos you assign to a camera remain on the device.

Location. Only when you tap “Time & place” on a note does the app determine your current location, in order to add the place and coordinates to the note. To turn the coordinates into a place name, they are sent to the map service OpenStreetMap (Nominatim, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation). No further location data is transmitted to servers or stored there. Privacy information: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy

Backup and export. “Create backup” writes your entire data set including all photos into a single file; “Export archive” produces a PDF of your archive. Where that file goes is your choice in your device’s share sheet. If you pick cloud storage such as iCloud Drive, a messenger or email, that provider’s privacy terms apply. Nothing is transmitted to us and we gain no access. Please note: the backup file is unencrypted and contains all your entries and photos – keep it accordingly.

Fonts. All fonts used are embedded locally in the app. No data is transmitted to third parties for them.

No tracking. The app uses no analytics or tracking services, no advertising and no cookies.

Your rights / deletion. Because the data is held locally only, it is entirely in your hands: you can remove individual entries within the app, or delete the app to remove all data irrevocably. Backup files you saved yourself must be deleted wherever you put them – the app knows nothing about them.

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the entity named in the legal notice.

Datenschutzerklärung

Filmlog Analog ist als datensparsame Offline-App konzipiert. Es gibt kein Nutzerkonto, keine Registrierung und keinen eigenen Server.

Lokale Speicherung. Alle deine Eingaben (Kameras, Filme, Filmrollen, Bestand, Notizen und selbst aufgenommene Kamerafotos) werden ausschließlich lokal auf deinem Gerät gespeichert. Die App überträgt von sich aus nichts davon an uns oder an Dritte; wir haben keinen Zugriff darauf. Dein Gerät verlassen Daten nur, wenn du es selbst auslöst – siehe „Sicherung und Ausgabe" und „Standort".

Kamera. Der integrierte Belichtungsmesser („Lichtmesser") greift auf die Gerätekamera zu, um die Helligkeit zu messen. Das Kamerabild wird dabei ausschließlich live auf dem Gerät ausgewertet und weder gespeichert noch übertragen. Fotos, die du einer Kamera zuordnest, verbleiben lokal auf dem Gerät.

Standort. Nur wenn du bei einer Notiz auf „Zeit & Ort" tippst, ermittelt die App deinen aktuellen Standort, um Ort und Koordinaten in die Notiz einzutragen. Zur Umwandlung der Koordinaten in einen Ortsnamen werden diese an den Kartendienst OpenStreetMap (Nominatim, betrieben von der OpenStreetMap Foundation) übermittelt. Sicherung und Ausgabe. Über „Sicherung anlegen" schreibt die App deinen gesamten Datenbestand samt aller Bilder in eine einzelne Datei, über „Archiv ausgeben" dein Archiv als PDF. Wohin diese Datei geht, entscheidest du im Teilen-Dialog deines Geräts. Wählst du dort einen Cloud-Speicher wie iCloud Drive, einen Messenger oder E-Mail, gelten die Datenschutzbestimmungen des jeweiligen Anbieters. An uns wird dabei nichts übertragen und wir erhalten keinen Zugriff. Beachte: Die Sicherungsdatei ist unverschlüsselt und enthält alle deine Eingaben und Bilder – verwahre sie entsprechend.

Schriftarten. Alle verwendeten Schriftarten sind lokal in die App eingebettet. Es werden dafür keine Daten an Dritte übertragen.

Kein Tracking. Die App nutzt keine Analyse- oder Tracking-Dienste, keine Werbung und keine Cookies.

Deine Rechte / Löschung. Da die Daten nur lokal liegen, hast du sie selbst in der Hand: Du kannst einzelne Einträge in der App entfernen oder durch Löschen der App alle Daten unwiderruflich entfernen. Sicherungsdateien, die du selbst abgelegt hast, musst du dort löschen, wo du sie hingelegt hast – die App weiß nichts von ihnen.
